1971 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible HEMI 426ci 4 Speed Pistol Grip Dana
426 HEMI – 4 Speed – 3.54 Dana Rear – N96 Shaker Hood
Item description from the seller
Few vehicles from the muscle era can be held in such revere as the 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda. More so, the Hemi Cuda Convertible.
Featuring the coveted Shaker hood, 4 Speed A833 Manual Transmission w/ the iconic Pistol Grip shifter and a 3.54 Dana rear end – this original 318 Barracuda Convertible has undergone an enthusiast transformation into a highly optioned 426 Hemi Cuda tribute.
The outside is fully dressed with the white HEMI Billboards, the N96 Shaker Hood featuring hold-down pins and the argent scoop with Hemi ‘Cuda chrome tags, color-matched mirrors, fender-mounted turn signals, optional front chin spoilers and luggage rack, and the ‘Cuda road lamps, lower rocker chrome, and chrome exhaust exits. This car now rides on 15-inch Rallye wheels and the often optioned BF Goodrich Radial T/A raised white-letter tires. This vehicle remains true to it’s original color combination wearing GB5 True Blue Metallic, a white powered convertible top and white interior.
Taking a look on the inside you will find front bucket seats with the center console, a Hurst Pistol Grip shifter, Rallye instrument cluster, factory AM radio and tinted glass. If you were one of the Mopar drivers back in the early production days of these vehicles, you would likely have sourced or sought to source the rare Gran Coupe door panels featured on this car. Many Cuda owners would modify these early vehicles with the luxury panels – the particular panels on this vehicle are finished with wood trim inlays. A very hard item to source as original for restorers and builders now 50 years later.
